Pleasant greeting to you and thank you for stopping by to see what I may have to say to the world. My name is Anna Marie Myers and I live in NE Pennsylvania. I am born and raised Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. I am the oldest of 9 children who have the same mother and father.
I am mother of 5 beautifully strong hearted mixed raced young adults and grandmother of 3 precious babies. I have experience in the food business from waitress to management. I also have experience in many other fields.
I am not much for reading unless something catches my attention or if I have to read, I read. The Internet requires a lot of reading. You have to read in order to communicate online.

Here I am maintaining a blog. I use to write poetry and short stories and even started journals many times. I began writing my life down on paper to pass on to my children but I reach a certain time period and I stop and never restart. Hopefully one day I will be able to complete my story.
My blog contains many different topics because I have many different interests. I like to help others with information that I know of, and learn about. This is mainly because I was screwed over by not knowing things such as my legal rights pertaining to my children and my married life as well.
I built a career without a High School Diploma and way before I earned a degree. I do not recommend this way to go but this was the choice I had.
I began my career as a weekend dishwasher. This is when I was a single mom to my now 20 year old daughter who is my forth born. The owner (Diane) was a beautiful older Italian woman who needed extra help with cooking and asked my brother to teach me the ropes. He quit 2 weeks later without notice and showed me little.
Diane showed me what I needed to know and was pleased that I was able to handle things on my own the next day. This is how I gained the title Professional Italian Saut Cook and I was proud. Having a title gives one pride and self worth. Since then I have cooked in many establishments in the south Jersey area. I ended my cooking career with the role as a manager with Little Caesars Pizza.
Since then, I have tried three different work-at-home companies and I could not make anything happen with them. As I am typing this, I see what the main cause of my failing attempts with this. I did not like the stuff (plain English). I thought they were priced to high but I could not offer much of a discount because of what I had to maintain each month. I would not use the stuff myself because I could get similar products in the store for cheaper prices.
I moved to NE Pennsylvania April 2003 (long story) and worked at a local corner store/gas station for a year and straight out quit because I hated it! I got into Home Health Care and realized that it is something that I cannot handle. I was introduced to a chance to do the education thing and did it.
I enrolled into a business school in the area and received an Associates Degree in June of 2007. I have remained unemployed since mid 2006. April 2008 I became a Home Based Business owner. Yes! I had to try it once more and there was something different about this company. I like the products and I like how the company runs.
This weekend was special. Mothers Day fell on my birthday this year and my niece was laid to rest the day before my birthday last year.
I packed up the car along with my family who live with me and went to New Jersey.
This weekend was a combination of celebrations. One year anniversary of my niece being laid to rest after her body was found. We celebrated one of my nephews birthday, Mothers Day, and my birthday.
For some reason it seems that every time I go down to Jersey something keeps us there until after 9 p.m. and I hate that because it means I get to drive on the PA/Turnpike for 2 hours in the dark and an extra tank of gasoline. You see nothing but a wall of reflectors. This can put anyone to sleep at the wheel which is a very freaky thing to have happen. It totally has nothing to do with self control either and that ticks me off even more.
We all met at my niece Felicia Mikels grave site and paid our respects with prayer and a few words to live by, so to speak. And then we all met back at my sister Lees house for food and chilin out with family. I got to know my two young adult sons just a little bit better this time. And he got to see that I am more than just a mom.
Sunday, Mothers Day and my birthday. I have never been much to celebrating my birthday but this year I received a mothers ring with my birthstone on it as well. I have always wanted a birthstone ring and a mothers ring but never liked what I seen that was not placed in a good price range until now.
I chose to stay in my daughters house in Camden with all of my kids present and just watching movies and being themselves. It was nice to hear their voices all under the same roof along with all three of my grand babies. And it felt really nice to prepare food for all of them once again. This next photo is my grand babies
My youngest lives with his father in an area of Jersey which I am not familiar to drive; so, I get tied up in a knot pretty much if I have to drive around there after dark. On this trip my daughter decides to insist on giving me directions. After 2-3 blocks I knew it was the wrong way but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and resumed driving in the direction of my daughters choice because she is 20 years old now. Finally I turned around and shortly after, we seen signs that my choice was the right one.
Sometimes you just have to follow a person who insists they are right until you cannot handle it anymore and just slam on the breaks (so to speak) and make a sharp yuwie in order to get on the right path in so many situations of life.
Most everyone wonders how others choose to spend or celebrate their holidays. So here is how I spent mine this year.
It started when I purchased a round trip bus ticket for my 15 year old son on Monday December 8th at about 3 in the afternoon. I sent it through regular via mail in plenty of time for it to be received in order for my son to come up on the 23rd.
I have never lost anything in the mail until now. This is just one of those events in my life that proved to me geverything happens at least onceh. So, I threw $$$in the trash (or should I say, in the air).
Our house was not decorated until pretty mush the last minute. Two weeks before Christmas. We usually decorate right after Thanks Giving Day.We did not put up the tree because of having a toddler who is rapidly approaching the terrible twos.
I decided to do a same day round trip by driving to southern New Jersey and back to northeastern Pennsylvania and my 19 year old daughter and her 18 month old son accompanied me. It took me an extra hour to drive down because of the heavy winds so it was 7 hours of highway driving. Some good came out of our trip though. We got to see my son wrestle for the first time and we also was able to spend some time with my sister in her Camden, NJ home.
Finally, I was able to begin the drive back home at 10:30 pm. I had to get home before my husband had to go to work at 7 in the next morning. We arrived home around 2 in the morning after having to make 2 extra stops in order to wake myself up. I am a very dependable and reliable person but even I was falling a sleep while driving which scared me. Driving on a Turnpike after dark more than an hour is a mistake waiting to happen. All I seen was the guard rail along the left side of the road with mini reflectors which made me feel as if someone was trying to hypnotize me.
Of course we spent the next day doing nothing but lay around after sleeping late. The babyfs sleeping and eating schedule was completely mixed up for the day.
Most of our days have been filled with doing anything to pass the day in the house because of it being so cold outside. Neither of us are fans of cold weather. My son and I are anything but normal together because of how we wind up amusing each other. He is 61 205 pound black male. I am 57 170 pound 45 year old white female. He is my youngest of 5 grown children. We wrestle, joke on each other and others, write on each other, pick on each other, and talk about anything that may come to mind. We are a lot like siblings. I let him rest his head on my shoulder as I rub his head when watching television.
My daughter who is 19 and my son who is 15 are the two yougest onefs of my children. When we werenft watching movies or picking on each other, they would be playing video games as they are right now as I am typing this.
This Christmas was really low on gifts because of many things but managed to get a few things by ordering from FingerHut and the help of church members. My son really broke his healthy eating rules when my daughter decided to bake cookies.
So, I guess you could say that we spent our Christmas enjoying each other and using a lot of electricity for entertainment as well.
This was the most depressing one since I have been an adult. I did not even decorate because my daughter has her own place so I did not need to do so for the sake of children. I got married at the age of 18 and entered motherhood shortly aftyer I turned 19. Yes! I did know what I was doing and how to do whatever it takes to me a mother.
This was the most depressing because I was not able to buy anything for anyone. I had to get help from outside of the family in order to have a nice dinner. I am somewhat of a self reliant person who has worked for most of the past 20 years and was a single mother as well.
One special thing and the most precious was seeing my third grandchild's smile. I was lucky enough to have is sweet toddler smiles and and sounds of contentment. I am thankful for the little things, I just want better and I am working on it every day by not throughing in any cards because I want it all, the whole deck of cards.
